Clemson football ready for emotional Saturday against Pittsburgh

Clemson football fans will prepare for an emotional Saturday when they see the Tigers take on the Pittsburgh Panthers.

Well, that will really be before the Tigers take the field against the Panthers.

There are only a few times each year that draw significant tears for Clemson football fans and they will be coming over the same weekend this year – as they have in recent years – when the Tigers celebrate both Senior Citizens Day and Military Appreciation Day on the same afternoon.

We’ll see the Clemson football team don their purple jerseys for the game, and while it will be a little different than normal, no one does Military Appreciation Day better than the Tigers.

As well as celebrating those who fought for our country, past and present, we will also see many senior Clemson footballers hurtling down the hill for their last time on Saturday afternoon.

Although many Clemson football seniors are returning, for some that’s it

Dabo Swinney did not give a list of which seniors he believes will return and those who leave, but we do know that we can expect some of those seniors to return as this 2020 season does not count towards their eligibility. .

That being said, we know for a fact that – unless something major changes – that Amari Rodgers, Travis Etienne and Trevor Laurent will both be gone after this season.

There are others – like James skalski, Nolan turner, Cornell powell, Cade Stewart, Darien Rencher, Nyles Pinckney and Baylon spectrum, to name a few, who have a decision to make, but could very well consider their last time coming down the hill on Saturday.

No matter what everyone decides, this senior class must definitely be celebrated on Saturday. If they beat Pitt, they will be the first class in Clemson football history to go undefeated at home.

They have won championships by leading by example and given this program a better place thanks to their hard work.
